Privacy emerged as the top concern for marketers when it comes to AI in marketing, cited by 52% of those surveyed. Marketers worry about maintaining data privacy and security while leveraging AI technologies. The second most common concern, shared by 46% of respondents, is the over-dependence on technology, highlighting the need for a balanced approach to AI integration. Other concerns include making data ‘AI-ready’ (41%) and the potential for AI to replace human roles (36%). Integrating current systems (35%) and ensuring a return on investment (30%) were also cited as concerns.

Only a small percentage (1%) reported facing other challenges, while 7% admitted to not integrating AI at all.

Regarding the presence of dedicated marketing personnel overseeing AI models, 39% of respondents reported having specialized staff for this purpose. On the other hand, 21% stated that they do not have dedicated personnel, while 37% are in the process of training or upskilling their staff to handle AI integration effectively.
